Archer

In this tutorial you will make a game in which an archer must hit a moving target.

NOTE: You can use any version of Scratch.

Complete these steps ..

1. Open Scratch, OR create a new game (from the top menu choose "File>New").

2. Download, save and then open this game file ..

3. Delete the Cat sprite.

4. Select the stage and create two new variables "For all sprites" called "countdown" and "score" ..

Arrange them on the top edge of the stage like this ..

We will use the countdown variable to create a clock that counts down to zero. The player must hit as many targets as they can before the countdown ends.

Now add this code/scripts to the stage ..

5. Use the File menu to save your game. Name it "Archer v1" ..

6. Now add these scripts/code to the target sprite to make it slide in and show from the right edge of the stage at random times and positions ..

Press "B" to test your game.

When you are ready press "E" to end your game and continue working on it.

7. Use the File menu to save your game.

8. Add this code/scripts to the Archer sprite ..

Press "B" to test your game.

When you are ready press "E" to end your game and continue working on it.

9. Use the File menu to save your game.

10. Select the arrow sprite and then add this code/scripts to it ..

11. Use the File menu to save your game.

12. You're finished. Well done. What modifications can you make?
