For 10-12 year olds, at our training studio in Bromley BR2 8LU. Maximum 12 students.
Two 2 hr sessions.
Thur 2nd, Fri 3rd January 2020. 1 - 3pm each day.

Activity content

Gov.UK logoOur activities cover attainment targets from the National Computing Curriculum.

This course is suitable for children who already have some experience with games design and/or have a good facility with computers, a strong interest in maths and logic, and are interested in programming.

Students will be taught an advanced game making technique and then be encouraged to conceive and design their own game. In so doing they will create algorithms to control characters, animations, levels and challenge, and implement a health and rewards system. Subjects include ..

  • lists
  • level, scores and health
  • advanced algorithms using calculations
  • originating images and sound

Course content is tailored to challenge and improve each learner's existing skills and knowledge. Learners are continually assessed to establish the level they are working at and to stretch them.

Our activities are accredited with Pixel Gang Certificates. To earn a certificate learners must complete certificate tasks.
