Activity content

Our clubs run for ten 1 hour or 1.25 hour sessions each term.

Every term is different
Each term we explore different techniques and skills to excite and motivate our students. Your child will be engaged, educated and entertained.

Tailored content
Club content is tailored to challenge each student. They are continually assessed to establish the level they are working at and to stretch them.

Learn together and then create your own games
We begin by building a complete game, and then each student is encouraged to put into practice what they have learnt, either by modifying the game, or by creating their own game.

Create then play
Our clubs are not simply an opportunity to play games, students must create their own and in only two of the ten sessions are they permitted to play games others have created.

Gov.UK logoOur activities cover attainment targets from the National Computing Curriculum.

What is taught?
Students learn concepts and skills in games coding including file management, animation, character and object control, and coding concepts such as event handlers, control statements, loops, properties and functions. These concepts and skills are part of the Computing core curriculum in UK schools.
