Throwing cheese - cat and mouse contest

Complete these steps to create a game in which a cat throws cheese to stop a mouse attacking.

 

Complete these steps ..

 

1. Create a new game. Either open Scratch or if it is already open choose "File>New" ..

 

 

2. Paint the stage black and add these scripts to it ..

 

 

3. Select the cat sprite under the stage and re-name it "Cat". Add these scripts to it ..

 

 

4. Click the "paint new sprite" button under the stage and paint a picture of some cheese ..

 

Re-name the sprite "Cheese".

 

 

5. Click the "paint new sprite" button again and paint a picture of a mouse.

Re-name it "Mouse" and click the "only face left-right" direction button ..

 

 

6. Select the Cheese sprite and then add these scripts to it ..

NOTE: You may need to make the Cheese sprite smaller than 40%. It needs to be smaller than the Cat sprite.

 

7. Select "File > Save as" and save your game. Name it "Throwing cheese" ..

 

 

8. Select the mouse sprite and add these scripts to it ..

 

Press the "B" key to begin and test your game. Use the up and down arrow keys to move the cat, and the space-bar to throw the cheese.

 

 

9. Use "File>Save" to re-save your game. Well done, you're finished!
