Gov.UK logoOur courses cover attainment targets from the new National Computing Curriculum.

Club activities

Our after school clubs run for ten 1 hour or 1.25 hour sessions each term. Students learn concepts and skills in video games design including file management, coding, interactive animation, character and object control, and programming concepts such as event handlers, control statements, loops, properties and functions. These concepts and skills are part of the Computing core curriculum in UK schools.

Our clubs are not simply an opportunity to play games, students must create their own and in only two of the ten sessions are they permitted to play games others have created. Each term the children are taught to build a new game and then encouraged to create their own utilising the skills they have learnt.

Course content is tailored to challenge and improve each learner's existing skills and knowledge. Learners are continually assessed to establish the level they are working at and to stretch them.
